GIRL’S CAMP SCHOLARSHIP
Dear Coach or Athletic Director:
Each year, the Senior Women’s Basketball Association (SWBA) offers grants for teenage girls (aged 12-17) from San Diego County to attend a summer basketball camp or clinic held at one of the many basketball camps in San Diego.
One of the documents below explains the purpose of the grants and eligibility criteria. The grant application and recommendation forms are also below. If you know of girls for whom attending basketball camp would be beneficial and a financial hardship, please encourage them to apply quickly. If traveling to and from the camp is what is keeping them from going, please let us know. We could possibly help with that also.

GUIDELINES FOR THE SWBA SCHOLARSHIP
- Candidate must be a girl from 12 to 17 years old.
- Candidate must have completed at least one full basketball season with a basketball program in San Diego County; the program can be with a club, recreational league, or school team.
- Candidate can only receive scholarships in two years.
- Candidate must complete full application and get two references before March 28, 2024.
- Candidate must show a C or 2.0 average.
