New! YMCA W40’s 3on3 League
Great News!
Through a partnership with Scripps Ranch Women’s Athletic Club (https://www.srwac.org/) and the YMCA, SWBA is able to offer women ages 40+ a 3on3 league of their own! We gather on Thursdays, 7-9pm, and have fun playing at the YMCA Mission Valley. You are welcome to come and observe OR join in the fun and play!
We’re just getting started!
This is a recreational league – We have fun, we laugh and we encourage one another on this basketball journey together. There are no first-place prizes or medals, just some good ol’ fun playing a game we all love. We mix up the teams each session and are able to accommodate walk-ins trying it out for the first time. The more players the better as we grow!

YMCA – MISSION VALLEY, 5505 FRIARS RD., SAN DIEGO
If you are ready, then come dressed to get some exercise. T-shirt, shorts, gym shoes or basketball shoes, water bottle, and small towel. We have basketballs, but if you have your own, please bring it. We use a size 6 or 28.5in women’s basketball. If you wear a sports watch, please plan to cover it with a wristband and remove all loose jewelry. We’ll provide a team jersey.
Compliments and encouragement are free. League Fees, to cover the cost of refs and gym costs is $70 for an eight-week season and includes a reversible jersey assigned to you at the start of each session.
YMCA Registration can be tricky – and we encourage you to sign up at the front desk when you arrive. They have provided us a QR Code found on this page.
In addition, participants will be asked to join SWBA as an Associate Member at a reduced rate of $30 Annual Fee within 30 days of signing up. We not only support women who enjoy the game through our volunteer efforts, but young women, ages 12-17, through our summer camp scholarship program made possible through our Membership fees. https://www.facebook.com/
