The team fee is currently $270 for 8 weeks.  Teams consist of a minimum of 5 players.  We play year round.

4. I have not played in several years. Where can I learn more about the rules & update my skills

Most women have not played the game for almost 20-30 years.  To help you renew your skills if you have played before or learn the game correctly as a beginner and play safely, we have a Rookie Training Program that practices on Sundays from 9:30 am - 10:45 am at the Mission Valley YMCA.

You will learn basic skills, and have "teaching moments" where instruction is given on the spot.  You will be taught court and game rules.  We also have an evening Rookie Program Training from 5:30 - 7:00 pm on Tuesdays at Presidio Gym located in Old Town.  Our Rookie Training Program accepts women at the age of 45.

Individual training is available through the members.  A rules book is available for $10.  Simply request a copy from the SWBA Director, info@swba

5. I am not sure I am ready to play, can I come to the gym and watch?

You are welcome to come to the YMCA Gym at 5505 Friars Road, San Diego, CA 92110 to learn more about the league and training program.

6. Do I have to be a member of the YMCA to play?

You do not need to be a member of the YMCA to play in the league.
